In May 2005, Trio completed a 14 hole Phase I core-drill program on its
35 km2 San Ramon property located 45 km west of Copiapo, Chile. Results
from 9 holes have been received from ALS Chemex, La Serena, Chile. All
assays are by aqua-regia dissolution followed by ICP analysis, with
confirmation of high copper assays by AAS. Nine holes have been
completed on the Carmen shear zone, with five additional holes on the
San Ramon and two other structures (results pending). A map showing the
location of the drill holes is available on Trio's web site.
Drill results confirm the discovery of Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold
(IOCG) mineralization. Following are the salient results from the
Carmen zone north to south:

Note: Holes SRDD05-10 & 11 are north of SRDD05-1. *These Holes
drilled by AMC
All holes are spaced 50 to 70m apart, and true thicknesses
are calculated at 60% to 70% of the reported intercepts. Trio's
drill program has defined the IOCG mineralization for a strike
length of 650m. It remains open-ended.
The results obtained from the drill program justify further
exploration. Trio's drilling was concentrated on exposed mineralization
located between two large chargeability anomalies (which lie
under sandy cover). These anomalies are 2,900m x 1,000m and
800m x 800m respectively, and may represent IOCG mineralization.
It is Trio's intent to extend drill-exploration from the presently
defined Carmen-San Ramon shear system into these large anomalies.
A total of 650,000 share options have been granted to directors,
officers and employees of the corporation at a price of $0.10
per share expiring on June 13, 2010. These shares were previously
allotted but expired prior to being exercised.
The 2005 drill program was implemented and supervised by Philip
van Angeren P.Geol., director of Trio Gold Corp., and a “qualified
person?under National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. This news
release has been prepared by Mr. van Angeren.
